About the Artist

"I have always been an artist" says Elizabeth Boyle. With over 40 years experience in the art field she says that utilizing your God given gifts may sometimes be a challenge but it is always a privilege. "I used to spend hours on a painting loosing myself in the process and now I find my computer seems to be my passion. I love designing graphics and learning all the new technology as it comes along. You never run out of things to learn," says Elizabeth. As a mother with three grown children Elizabeth doesn't take for granted the time she has now to spend on her art.

Elizabeth started drawing as a child, drawing those matchbox "draw me" advertisements. She recalls children in her elementary school art class lining up at her desk for her to draw their pictures for them. She couldn't understand why they wanted her to have all the fun. "If you have always been able to do something you can't understand what it is like not to be able to do it,"says Elizabeth. Children spend a lot of time thinking about what they are going to be when they grow up, Elizabeth has always known that she would work in the art field in one capacity or another. In high school she made a few dollars lettering the awards for school functions. She also spent a lot of time hanging around the local sign shop sweeping floors and learning all she could. It wasn't long before she was at the easel lettering her own signs. After high school she studied fine art and began working in the sign industry where she learned the "new technology" computer generated large format graphics. While her children where young she concentrated on painting with watercolor, acrylic, and oils as well as drawing with charcoal and pen and ink. Occasionally she would paint a banner for a local fund raiser or help with stage backdrops for the local community theater.

In 1995 Elizabeth turned on her first computer and it was instant love. Since then she has spent time as a graphic artist for local companies as well as freelance projects. She has worked as manager of the graphics dept for a local company, as graphic artist for creative paper, the food industry and the trade show industry. Her background includes certification in both print and web design.

Ms Boyle currently lives on the south shore of Massachusetts with her husband.
